A Speech on “What Adult Do Not Understand”

Every adult was once a child, but everything about their perspective, expressing emotions and behavior changes as they grow into an adult. For almost all of us, it does look like our childhood days have long passed as we grew up. As a child we all used to wonder why do all the older ones behave a lot odd. The world is changing in terms of technology and lifestyle, therefore, all of us change.

As a child or a teenager, everyone behaves in a way very hard for the elder people around, finding it hard to understand or adapt for them. Well, we children were so fearless and open to any kinds of obstacles. For all those readers, who might be older now, let me tell you, you all are the luckiest one who is able to experience the childhood days again through your children, but this time it is you who is the one screaming behind them. There are lot of points that an adult won’t understand now, some of which are:

Adults are less fearless and adventurous. A parent or an elder one is always in a world of thinking, and they think so much to generate fear in oneself. They try their level best to generate this same fear in children too. Children have a tendency to first experience and then learn, as a parent, we know how it experiences and that is the reason we try to stop them or raise fear upon them for even the tiniest moves. It is like they forgot the fun behind self experiencing something new. Children have a tendency to speak out anything that comes in their mind without an hesitation; lots of elders have a hard time doing so.

Adults have forgotten the fun in being messier. Maybe because of the professional and standard life that the world has offered to each of us, we make it a must that everything around us should be neat and tidy. Whatever it is, being in the midst of any kind of a beautiful mess is a contrasting pleasure.

Adults have less experience over the entertaining side of modern technology. They consider most of the modern gadgets as a medium of communication or to pass on information. There is another side to it that only children and teenagers would understand; selfies, social media, series and games. Life of an adult is so serious with lots of stress and tensions; they don’t take a break to enjoy some time where they can make memories, with a group selfie of the best time they had or a fun competitive game played with their kids or even watch a series or a movie with your family and a big bowl of popcorn.

Despite all this, we still live in a fast moving world. Yes, it is true, life goes on; but why carry on without having fun. As an adult we should understand to be a child, sometimes even be a child, this could make life much easier.
