Every year on the 21st of April, Tiradentes Day is celebrated in Brazil in commemoration of the death of Joaquim Jose da Silva Xavier is popularly known as Tiradentes. This movement draws its inspiration from the French and American revolution of the 18th century and aimed to make Brazil an Independent nation by getting rid of the Portuguese rule.
