A Speech on 4th July Celebration Template

I am very excited to meet you all in this special and joyous day of our independence. I am very proud to be able to present this speech on Independence Day.

Speech on Independence Day means a lot to any person. It gives us all the opportunity to express our Patriotism, Nationalism and respect for the country. We hold these truths that all men are created equal; they have the right of getting life, liberty, and happiness. The day of 4th July is a federal holiday in the United States celebrating the announcement of the Independence of the country.

This day marks the anniversary of our independence on the day 4th July, 1776 from the British Empire, who was then called as the British colonies. It reminds us about the great sacrifices and hardships faced by our fellow citizens to ensure our freedom and safety of our country. We honor all our great freedom fighters in this national celebration of the Independence Day of 4th July. This day teaches every citizen the importance of Unity, patriotism and immense love for our country.

On 4th July the formal Declaration of Independence had been issued, the 13 American colonies severed their connections to Great Britain. The declaration summarized the motivations of the colonists’ for seeking independence.  The American colonists confirmed an alliance with the Government of France by declaring themselves an independent nation.

This alliance helped America in the war against Great Britain. This day of 4th July has been a federal holiday since 1941, but the tradition of celebration goes back to the 18th century and the American Revolution.

Our freedom fighters had had to face many sacrifices with great courage to present us with the free and peaceful country of today. This special day of 4th July encourages us greatly to feel the bond with each other. Our economic, social and political developments are displayed globally when people come to know about independence. This day is declared as the national holiday and all the government as well as private concerns are closed on this day to celebrate our independence.

We all celebrate this day by fireworks, parades, baseball games, picnics and many concerts. We also celebrate this day within our family members with delicious barbecues. This day gives us the opportunity to celebrate the feeling of unity and the birth of our independence.

After these many years the political importance of this day can be declining but we all love and respect this day as an important symbol of national holiday and the symbol of our love for our country. The most common symbol is our flag with the accompaniment of the music of “The Star – Spangled Banner”.

It is the responsibility of each and every citizen of our country to help our country in becoming the best country in the world. It is our responsibility to teach our young generation the great love and proud history of becoming independent from the British rulers, which our leaders and our country have given us.
