Life is a mixture of ups and downs. Hard times come like an unexpected storm. Grieving is one of the hardest things one will ever do; we all grieve in various ways, and it is always good to connect with people who have lost someone too. When we lose someone dearest to us, it takes a lot of time to recover from this unimaginable pain. The stronger we are, the sooner we get through this step by step, day by day.
Losing someone we love is a devastating experience, and to carry on with life without them is at times a massive pace. Sometimes it feels like no one around cares to understand us.
Causing the kind of pain that we physically feel all over the body and mentally feel like it’s tearing us from the inside out. For me, losing someone is very hard to deal with. The days I had to cross through after I lost my grandfather was indescribable. It was too harsh to pass on.
My grandfather was my best friend; he was the most humorous and thrilling person in my family. Both me and, we were like the pack who used to play and do all sorts of mischievous stuff.
The day I lost him, I was never in town. It broke me completely, I never got to see him for the last time too. Beginning days we had many other people to gather around, cry with us, and even listen to our stories. The first real taste of loneliness hits when the incoming of people thin out, and we realize the fact we are never going to see the person we lost, again.
A drastic change in our life takes place. Spending a lot of time crying, being alone, anger and aggression. Extremely affecting our daily and social life. None of us is ever given a class on how to survive the loss of someone we love. Maybe because it is unexplainable, no matter what one has to live through to get over that hard time.
Yes, it is hard, but no one should tell us what to do. We have to make ourselves ready to live with this loss. We have to find the next best thing or person to be our diversion and teach ourselves to learn to accept this and move on.
There is nothing wrong in crying it out. Every time we do, it is a sign of honoring what we lost and who we lost. All we have to do is find someone to talk to and not make us know what to do. Open up well, spend time with happy surrounding and people, do things we love to do and keep our life moving on.
When a loved one leaves us forever, it leaves a big hole in our lives too. There are thousands of ways to still keep them alive; we just have to look beyond the emptiness of their physical presence and dive into our hearts to find them.
