Shemini Atzeret is a holiday celebrated by the Jewish people. Inside the land of Israel, it is commemorated on the 22nd day of the starting month, Tishrei of the month of Hebrews. But outside the land of Israel, it is marked on the 22nd or 23rd of Hebrew month which usually occurs at the end of September or the beginning of October.
It occurs on the eighth day after the consecutive 7 days celebration of Sukkot, a celebration of Jews, commonly called “Feast of Tabernacles.” It is celebrated in Canada and several other places.
